OFFSHORE ASSET PROTECTION TRUST JURISDICTIONS

Maritime International Limited recommends the following jurisdictions for the formation of offshore trusts for foreign asset protection, the preservation of wealth, and estate planning. Trusts may be created as purpose trusts, charitable trusts, spendthrift trusts, etc.

All registered trusts are exempt from income tax in the jurisdiction of registration.The formation of an Offshore Trust requires consultation with the client in order to develop the best structure fitting the client's needs. An initial telephone conference with one of our specialists is essential. A visit is not normally required. There is no charge for such consultation.

BELIZE

Belize is recognized as one of the best trust jurisdictions in the world, as there is no period of time during which action by creditors can be taken against the trust. In most other jurisdictions it is two years or more.

The Trustee need not be a Belize resident or Belize company, but we do recommend an offshore corporate Trustee for additional creditor protection. This can be provided by the client or by Maritime International Ltd.

NEVIS

The Trustee must be either an offshore Nevis company or a Nevis Trust. To meet this requirement we can form an offshore company in Nevis for you, or Maritime International Ltd. can provide the Trustee as we have an offshore company in Nevis for this purpose.

ST. VINCENT

The Trustee of a St. Vincent Trust must be a St. Vincent Trust Company or a St. Vincent attorney registered with the Government. Maritime International Ltd's office in St. Vincent provides this service.

WESTERN SAMOA

The Trustee must be either an offshore Samoan company or a Samoan Trust. To meet this requirement we can form an offshore company in Samoa for you, or Maritime International Ltd. can provide the Trustee as we have an offshore company in Samoa for this purpose.
