PANAMA FINANCIAL SERVICES LICENSE

A Panama Offshore Company is a very popular and well regarded offshore corporate vehicle. When issued with a Financial Services License, it becomes a unique and valuable structure for clients interested in corporate financial activities.

The Panama Offshore Company is incorporated in the usual fashion and then a Financial Services License is obtained from the Panama Ministry of Commerce. This license allows the company to conduct the following activities, in addition to the normal business functions of the company:

1. Open corporate bank accounts and accept 3rd party funds for bank card purposes, subject to bank approval.
2. Act as a payment Intermediary.
3. Conduct precious metal trading (gold, silver, platinum) over the internet.
4. Factoring.
5. Leasing (requires the company to have a capital of US$ 100,000 and pay an additional Government tax). Contact Maritime International Ltd if you wish to offer leasing services.

The Company CANNOT act as a bank, debt collection agency, trust company, brokerage firm, insurance company, mutual fund or other such institutions, which require special licenses in ALL jurisdictions, including Panama. A special license is also required to provide financial and/or investment consulting services.

The Company also may not advertise and/or sell stocks, bonds and other investment instruments to the general public directly. It can only buy and sell stocks, bonds, etc. through a licensed broker; again this is applicable to ALL jurisdictions, not just Panama.

The Panama Company requires three Directors, which can be appointed by the client, or nominee Directors can be provided by Maritime International Ltd.
